Reservationist

We are seeking a poised, detail-oriented Reservationist to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will manage reservations with precision and professionalism while delivering a warm, gracious introduction to the Blue Box Café experience. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, exceptional communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage reservations via phone, email, and online platforms with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide guests with detailed information regarding menus, hours, policies, and special experiences
  • Coordinate seating arrangements in collaboration with the host team and management
  • Maintain and update reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy)
  • Handle high-volume inquiries while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
  • Anticipate guest needs, noting special requests, celebrations, and VIP preferences
  • Assist with waitlist management and guest flow during service
  • Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and guest service at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in a reservationist, host, or guest services role (fine dining preferred)
  • Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
