What will you do? * Prepare high-quality sushi dishes by established recipes and standards. * Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation. * Handle, slice, and present fish and other ingredients with precision and attention to detail. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized workflow. * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area. * Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients. * Uphold food safety regulations and practices. * May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization. More about you * 1-2 years of experience as a sushi cook or similar role is required. * In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques. * Strong knife skills and precision in handling raw fish and other ingredients. * Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Physical requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods.  * Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cutting and assembling of sushi.  * Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds.  * Work in a potentially hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.  * Pushing and pulling occasionally to move equipment.  * Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate-to-high.
