Job description

Maintenance technician
Job Summary: Our Maintenance Technician is tasked with repairing a variety of kitchen equipment, managing HVAC systems to guarantee functionality, and to participate in general upkeep of multiple facilities. Previous restaurant equipment repair experiance prefered. This position reports to the Director of Facilities. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with specialty knowledge in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, and/or Plumbing.
As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Preventative maintenance and repairs on building equipment including HVAC systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, motors, compressors, and kitchen equipment.
Mechanical equipment repair, oil, greasing, belt replacing, and general cleaning of equipment. Lifting Objects heavier than 40 lbs. Understanding of technology-based systems and the ability to navigate these systems, such as email, Microsoft office, and apps that merge these systems to your smart phone. Driving from Restaurant to Restaurant and will at times include overnight travel.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license - good driving record and current auto insurance with a reliable vehicle (auto expense reimbursement program in place). Have general facilities maintenance knowledge and skills. Ability to communicate effectively written and orally; Sound decision making and problem-solving skills HVAC certification preferred. Will and Can-do Attitude Self-Motivated
