Job description


As a Host/Hostessyou will be responsible for seating customers, supporting the Grill when possible.
Job Requirements:
  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff.
  • Greet and welcome each guest entering the restaurant.
  • Build a rapport with guests while walking them to their tables.
  • Accommodate our guests with menus, asking if they prefer a table or booth.
  • Ensure that guest seating is rotated between all service stations.
  • Communicate guest needs to staff/management, i.e., celebrating anniversary and/ or birthdays.
  • Communicate any guest's complaints and compliments to management.
  • Invite and welcome guests back upon completion of their visit.
  • Answer the telephone, and make reservations as needed.
  • Have complete knowledge of all food and beverages items on the menu.
  • Communicate proper flow with the kitchen staff.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of assigned stations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have excellent customer services skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred

  • The ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment.
  • The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
