Sous Chef – New & Upcoming Restaurant | Canonsburg, PA

A new and exciting upscale dining concept is coming to Canonsburg, PA, and we are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team.

This is a unique opportunity to help build something special from the ground up alongside an experienced Executive Chef and ownership team focused on quality, creativity, hospitality, and culture.

We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, leads with professionalism, and is passionate about creating exceptional food and guest experiences.

Position Overview

The Sous Chef will play a key leadership role in daily kitchen operations, assisting with menu execution, team leadership, food quality, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. This individual will help set the tone for kitchen culture and uphold high culinary standards from pre-opening through ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Support the Executive Chef with menu execution and preparation
  • Help train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are maintained
  • Assist with food ordering, inventory, and cost control
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Work closely with leadership to create an organized and positive kitchen culture
  • Help develop seasonal features and creative menu ideas
  • Lead by example during high-volume service periods
  • Ensure proper preparation, timing, and execution of all dishes
  • Assist with scheduling and kitchen workflow as needed
  • Maintain professionalism and strong communication with front and back of house teams

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership experience
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and guest experience
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
