Pedro's Pizza Lounge is a fast-paced, hospitality-driven restaurant in Hudson, Wisconsin focused on delivering memorable experiences through great food, genuine service, and a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

As a Manager on Duty (MOD), you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations during your shift and ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience. This is a working leadership position requiring active participation in service and support across all areas of the restaurant.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead daily shift operations and maintain smooth, efficient service execution
  • Supervise and support front-of-house team members including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
  • Actively assist service operations by serving tables, bartending, running food, or supporting where needed
  • Maintain strong floor presence and proactively address guest needs and service opportunities
  • Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests professionally and effectively
  • Coach, train, and develop team members on service standards and company expectations
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and overall restaurant appearance meet company standards
  • Monitor labor efficiency and assist in managing staffing needs during shifts
  • Maintain communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Support inventory awareness and communicate ordering or supply needs to management
  • Assist in enforcing company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
  • Help create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred (Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, Floor Manager, or similar role)
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations including serving and bartending
  • Ability to lead by example and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Guest-first mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and high-volume shifts
  • Ability to stand and move throughout extended shifts and lift up to 40 pounds when necessary
