Job description

As a fine-dining Manager at The Bancroft, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a passion for the guest experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record working in fine dining restaurants.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant environment.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and respond to customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic.
  • Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests and employees.
  • Hire, train and develop new hourly team members.
  • Optimize profits by building sales and assisting with the control of food, labor and beverage costs.
  • Provide FOH leadership and direction to all team members - coaching in real time.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and staffing
  • Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant technology
  • Craft cocktail, wine and beer knowledge a plus
  • Ability for stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
