Job description

Snarf's Sandwiches, a beloved fast-casual sandwich chain known for its toasty subs, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant (with an electrical focus) to join our team. With 30 years of experience, we are committed to delivering the finest sandwiches to our loyal customers, which requires an equally impressive support team. With Snarf's, you will play a crucial role in upholding our high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through your actions behind the scenes.

  • Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, electrical repairs, equipment repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
  • Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations
  • Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors

Requirements:

  • Strong Knowledge of commercial restaurant electrical including, diagnosis, repairs, building codes
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours
  • Required to work throughout the Denver Metro area, Boulder/Longmont area, Dillon, and Colorado Springs as needed.
  • Clean criminal background check and clean motor vehicle check

Competencies/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Preferred Journeyman Certificate (NECA), CESW, CEST
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus, but training is available.
