Staff Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full-service CPA firm in Pasadena, CA seeking a Solid Staff Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper for their Restaurant Group. Our clients include real estate and restaurant professionals and others. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping and accrual accounting knowledge as well as effective communication skills to interact with clients.
Duties include:
  • Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns, 8027s, 571Ls, 1099s, other
  • Experience setting up new clients- COA, financial statement formatting, workpapers
  • Experience setting up multiple client location simultaneously is a plus
  • Experience with accrual accounting
  • Experience setting-up prepaid, accrual, loans and amortization schedules
  • Experience with at least one of the following accounting software: Restaurant 365, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Intacct
  • Experience with any of the following software is a plus: CSA, Bill.com, Plate IQ and CTUIT
  • Ability to learn modern technology with minimal training
  • Ability to implement new pieces of technology to streamline bookkeeping tasks and the production of financial statements
  • Ability to interface with clients
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • In-house bookkeeping from client records in QuickBooks, reconcile accounts, provide monthly or quarterly balance sheet and profit and loss statements to clients
  • Strong QuickBooks experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Detailed oriented
