Respiratory therapists tend to earn higher salaries in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for healthcare services. Salaries are also influenced by experience, certifications, and work setting, such as hospitals or specialized clinics. Generally, urban areas and states with advanced healthcare infrastructure offer the highest compensation for respiratory therapists.

They develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to the selection, use, maintenance, and fit testing of respiratory protective equipment. The manager also provides training to employees, conducts regular program evaluations, and ensures proper documentation. This role is crucial for protecting workers from airborne hazards in environments where respiratory protection is required.

What is the highest paying OSHA job?
