A Respiratory Protection Program Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's respiratory protection program to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, such as those set by OSHA. They develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to the selection, use, maintenance, and fit testing of respiratory protective equipment. The manager also provides training to employees, conducts regular program evaluations, and ensures proper documentation. A Respiratory Protection Program Manager often encounters challenges such as ensuring employee compliance with proper respirator use, keeping up with changing regulations, and maintaining accurate fit testing and training records.
