Job Summary:
This position exists to provide assistance to District staff with benefits and other human resource-related matters.

Responsibilities:
-ย Manage the setup and maintenance of benefits management systems and information to ensure that vendors and employees have accurate and up-to-date information.
-ย Process COBRA events, ensuring timely participant notifications, and assist in resolving eligibility discrepancies
-ย Ensure timely and accurate responses related to Unemployment Insurance claims
-ย Manage the recruiting, onboarding and maintenance for non-certifiedย substitutes
-ย Assist with employee record and data retention
-ย Collaborateย with managers and staff on development of position descriptions and job specifications
-ย Provide information and recommendations to District administrationย regarding bargaining unit and individual contracts
-ย Assist the Director of Human Resources with special projects and reports
-ย Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
Required Qualifications:
-ย One year of relevant experience in a similar role or a background in benefits administration, including direct customer service experience
-ย Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
-ย Effective oral and written communication abilities when dealing with customers, vendors, and colleagues
-ย Strong attention to detail
-ย Proficiency in working with multiple information systems
-ย Demonstrated organizational skills showing the ability to prioritize work, independently initiate actions to meet deadlines, establish and maintain recordkeeping systems and complete all aspects of assignments under minimal supervision
-ย Knowledge of employment laws such as: FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, ACA, COBRA, MN ESST, MN PFML
