We are searching for a Chief Engineer with excellent leadership abilities to oversee multiple company projects. The Chief Engineer's responsibilities will include maintaining order of the property, assigning tasks to engineering department, and ensuring that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the completion of each project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.

- Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.

- Manages the Engineering team and oversees training of new employees.

- Supervising projects from start to completion.

- Evaluates all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.

- Responsible for approving designs and budgets.

- Delegates tasks to Engineering teams.

- Supervises staff training as well as equipment installation.

- Performing quality control checks on all systems and products.

- Patrols the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.

- Maintains order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, coordinates expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.

- Ensuring time-based maintenance is completed according to timely repair schedules.

- Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance, replacing old or faulty equipment.

- Providing technical support and training on all new equipment.

- Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.

- Memorizes and monitor life safety system including accurate layout of entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, complete alarm reports, and checks and reports any pertinent information from each shift.

- Responds to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiates results.

- Creates and maintains preventive maintenance schedules.

- Analyzing data and drafting reports for review for General Manager.

- Projects a professional manner with an emphasis onhospitalityand guest service.

- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum 2 years of engineering and customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.

3. Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.

4. Excellent customer service skills.

5. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.

6. Have a strong attention to details.

7. Must be able to multi-task.

8. Must be a team player.
