Job description

Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer - Facilities Management to lead all engineering and maintenance operations for our world-class resort. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability of all property systems, facilities and infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
The Chief Engineer will oversee a multidisciplinary engineering team and manage preventative maintenance programs and regulatory compliance to ensure an exceptional guest and colleague experience. This person must be knowledgeable in HVAC, refrigeration and electrical engineering. The Chief Engineer will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, and back - of - house areas.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team; set daily priorities.
  • Manage preventative maintenance, work orders, and emergency response.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life - safety systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Support budgeting, purchasing, vendor coordination, and capital planning.
  • Promote energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
