Finance Manager

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager, with hospitality experience to support the financial operations of Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The Finance Manager will work closely with department leaders to support operational and strategic financial goals.


Duties

โ€ข Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations

โ€ข Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

โ€ข Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and daily financial activity

โ€ข Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions

โ€ข Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

โ€ข Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency

โ€ข Assist with audits, tax reporting, and year-end financial processes

โ€ข Support payroll, purchasing, and inventory control procedures as needed

โ€ข Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets

โ€ข Collaborate with department managers to monitor expenses and budget performance

โ€ข Support the Director of Finance and Executive Team with special projects and financial analysis


Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

โ€ข Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of accounting or finance experienceย 

โ€ข Hospitality, hotel, or resort accounting experienceย 

โ€ข Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles

โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems

โ€ข Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

โ€ข Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

โ€ข Effective communication and interpersonal skills


Physical Requirements

โ€ข Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

โ€ข Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds

โ€ข Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

โ€ข Ability to work flexible hours when necessary to support business needs

The Resort functions seven days a week and may require occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support operational and financial demands. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize that, at times, it may be necessary to adjust schedules to meet business demands.
