Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions and supporting
the Director of Finance in maintaining accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and
efficient accounting operations. This position serves as a critical member of the Finance leadership
team, providing hands-on oversight of daily accounting processes, audit compliance, payroll
support, reconciliations, and special projects.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive accounting professional who
thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and can balance operational support with continuous
improvement.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations & Financial Controls
• Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial
transactions.
• Review and maintain accounting procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, internal
controls, and audit standards.
• Assist with month-end close processes including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and
variance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial controls.
Audit & Compliance Ownership
• Develop and maintain accounting audit standards and processes.
• Coordinate audit documentation and follow-up items.
• Perform reviews of financial processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain organized records supporting compliance with Omni Hotels & Resorts policies.
Payroll & Labor Accounting Support
• Provide oversight and support for payroll-related accounting processes.
• Partner with Human Resources and operational leaders to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Review payroll reporting, labor allocations, and reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Oversight
• Provide leadership and direction for accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure invoices, payments, and receivable activity are processed accurately and timely.
• Improve processes to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Financial Analysis & Operational Support
• Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
• Support department leaders with financial insights.
• Provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance.
• Support special projects and resort initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Provide coaching and support to accounting team members.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with resort departments regarding accounting processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
experience.
• 3+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Hospitality, resort, hotel, or service industry accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
