Outpatient Behavioral Health Setting

Position Summary

Resolution Health and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to support individuals navigating substance use disorders. You will play a key role in helping patients achieve recovery through evidence-based counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing support.
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, motivated, and committed to long-term patient success.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a structured caseload of patients
  • Conduct clinical assessments to identify contributing factors
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support
  • Collaborate with patients and families to promote sustainable outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers
Qualifications

  • Certification by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists in one of the following:
    • CAC-AD
    • CSC-AD
    • LG-ADC
    • ADT
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Experience in substance use treatment preferred
