Job description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join on of our clients team at (1) property in Indianapolis, IN (46260). The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years experience in residential maintenance (at least 2 years as a lead or maintenance supervisor), experience with unit turns, appliance repairs, plumbing issues, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. EPA certification is preferred. CPO is preferred for this role. This role is contracted and expected to last 90 days or could go permanent/long-term for the right candidate.

This role will be working with (1) community with 330+ market rate units.

Salary: $34-$36/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 830AM – 5PM and on-call will be every 4 weeks.

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will perform interior and exterior preventative and repair maintenance in our apartment community, including but not limited to general maintenance requests, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliances. You will be required to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members while operating in a safe manner to uphold safety and operations standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently complete service requests and make-ready turns.
  • Diagnose and repair intermediate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and building inspections.
  • Participate in move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Maintain inventory and shop organization.
  • Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of tools, diagnostic equipment, and chemical safety procedures.
  • Maintain personal tool inventory.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 4 years' experience in residential/multi-family maintenance – preventative, work orders and unit flip experience is required.
  • At least 2 years in a lead or supervisor position – required.
  • CPO certification is highly preferred.
  • EPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Advanced experience in plumbing, HVAC
  • Experience successfully managing a team
  • Able to use technology and software
  • Experience with subcontractors and vendor bidding and management
  • Able to successfully execute maintenance projects
  • Maintain professional environment and appearance.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation as this role will be roving to multiple properties.
  • Be able to pass a background check before employment.
