We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! At Primekey, we're a tight-knit group that values hard work, good communication, and a job well done. We take care of our facilities, but more importantly, we take care of our people.
Positions are available in the Columbus area.
Compensation: $18 -26 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
  • Work Orders & Repairs: Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, troubleshooting issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
  • Unit Turnovers (Make-Readies): Prepare vacant apartments/homes for new residents. This includes painting, drywall repair, deep cleaning, and repairing or replacing fixtures and appliances.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
  • Groundskeeping: Assist with keeping the property exterior, common areas, and walkways clean, safe, and free of debris (may include snow removal or light landscaping depending on the season).
  • Inventory & Documentation: Keep accurate records of completed work orders, parts used, and time spent. Assist in managing the inventory of tools and maintenance supplies.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents at all times, respecting their privacy and property while working in their homes.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in residential property maintenance, facility maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management.
  • Requirements: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check
