Job description

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 2nd Shift, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents throughout the evening. You will be responsible for assisting with resident activities of daily living throughout the evening; ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents. You will assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in our healthcare facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide attentive personal care and assistance to residents throughout the evening shifts.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of residents' living areas and assist in maintaining a pleasant environment.
  • Respond promptly to residents' needs and requests, providing compassionate and respectful care.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the care planning process.
  • Following facility policies and procedures while adapting to any changes in resident care plans.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position effectively, you must meet the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (GED)
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
  • CPR certification preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • At least six months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents and families.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position necessitates the capacity to lift, transfer, and reposition residents, as well as to carry out daily tasks that demand physical strength and endurance. Candidates must be able to stand for prolonged periods and respond to emergencies as necessary.
Working Environment:
The working environment is within a long-term care facility with a moderate noise level. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed is required.
