Our network of physicians and specialists works together to provide a patient-centered model focused on supporting the health and well-being of newborns and their families. This position is based in a Level III, 18-bed NICU affiliated with the UT System and UT Southwestern, featuring an on-campus residency program and supporting approximately 140 deliveries per month. The Neonatologist will provide comprehensive medical care to newborns in the Level III NICU, including premature and critically ill infants. Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and performing neonatal resuscitation as indicated, diagnosing and managing a broad range of neonatal conditions, and performing neonatal procedures within scope of practice. The provider will collaborate closely with NNPs, pediatricians, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members, communicate effectively with families regarding clinical status and treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, and participate in shared call coverage and team-based responsibilities. Must reside or be local to Tyler, Texas, relocation assistance provided.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and demonstrate strong clinical expertise in NICU care. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based neonatal medicine.
