Job description

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician at Dual-Brand Residence Inn & Fairfield Inn Chelsea!
Do you love rolling up your sleeves, solving problems, and seeing the impact of your work right away? Are you the go-to person when something needs fixing? At the Dual-Brand Residence Inn & Fairfield Inn Chelsea, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking a Maintenance Technician who's dependable, hands-on, and ready to keep our hotel running smoothly.
This position is offering a $500 Hiring Bonus, subject to applicable tax withholdings, to be paid out after 3 months of employment!
What You'll Do:
  • Keep our hotel in top condition with repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, building systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and get things back on track quickly.
  • Pitch in with everything from locks and doors to painting and landscaping.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance programs, follow established guidelines
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (examples: drywall, painting, doors, locks, building fixtures)
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and work orders-because every detail matters.
  • Work closely with your supervisor on projects and safety standards.
  • Work with supervisor to identify and complete all technical projects
  • Respond timely to all work orders
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of facility

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous maintenance or related experience, hotel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen, refrigeration, and life safety systems a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to stay organized, work independently, and juggle priorities.
  • Working knowledge of fire protection and life safely systems preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
  • Flexibility to work on a 7-day rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
