We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Reservations Agent. 

What you will be doing: 

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Respond to all Room Reservation, Rate Offering and Hotel Information inquiries promptly and professionally via telephone, fax and/or E-mail
  • Reserve hotel accommodations for guests in the Leisure, Business Travel, Convention/Association, Corporate Meetings and Wholesale (FIT & IMM) market segments
  • Accurately record all required reservation information in the Central Reservations System and/or the Opera Property Management System (PMS)
  • Review and update reservations interfacing between the Accor Reservation Systems 
  • Ensure reservation confirmations are issued promptly and accurately
  • Monitor Hotel Inventory to maximize Room Revenues
  • Contribute to hotel’s upsell program by consistently offering best suitable room types according to guest needs and maximizing hotel revenue and earn incentive per Company’s standards 
  • Provide support to our colleagues at Fairmont Global Reservations Centre with guest booking needs. 
  • Understand special promotions and communicate information to various operational departments 
  • Ensure all cashier paperwork and journals are filed with Manager on duty on a daily basis
  • Adhere to all LQA standards set up for the department 
  • Consistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the company’s grooming policy 
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include: 

  • Minimum 1 year Front Office, Reservations or Sales experience required. 
  • Must possess professional telephone etiquette and have an excellent command of the English language. 
  • Typing skills, approximately 40 words per minute. 
  • Property Manager (Opera), and Microsoft Office applications experience an asset. 
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and surrounding areas. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities. 
  • Must be flexible with shift start/end times and available to work weekends based on operational needs 
  • Highly responsible & reliable. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision. 
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
