Job Summary and Qualifications

The ER Advanced Paramedic will collect and convey information to both their team members and the attending Physician regarding the health status of patients. The Hospital Advanced Paramedic will perform all duties identified in their job description and validated by competency assessment under the License of the Physician Medical Director. They will report to the Director of Emergency Services. 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current certification/licensure in the State of Missouri as a Paramedic required
  • National Registry as a Paramedic preferred  
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • ·ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross within six months of hire, and American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Provider required within 1 year of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
  • Current clinical competency must be demonstrated and additional education /training may be required
