Clinical Research Coordinator

Location: Omaha NE

We are seeking a professional, organized, and motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical research experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage study-related activities while providing a positive experience for participants.

This role requires hands-on experience with phlebotomy and participant recruitment for clinical studies. Candidates must be comfortable engaging with potential participants, supporting enrollment goals, and performing blood draws as part of study protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day clinical research activities in accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Recruit, screen, and enroll qualified participants for clinical research studies
• Conduct study visits and ensure protocol requirements are followed accurately
• Perform phlebotomy/blood draws as required by study protocols
• Obtain and document informed consent
• Collect, enter, and maintain accurate study data and source documentation
• Communicate with participants regarding study visits, requirements, and follow-up
• Coordinate with investigators, sponsors, monitors, and internal team members
• Maintain regulatory binders and study records
• Support participant retention and ensure a professional, respectful participant experience
• Follow Good Clinical Practice guidelines and applicable regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or in a similar clinical research role
• Phlebotomy experience is required
• Experience recruiting participants for clinical research studies is required
• Ability to perform blood draws confidently and safely in accordance with protocol and site procedures
• Experience screening, enrolling, and retaining clinical research participants
• Strong understanding of clinical research workflows and study visit coordination
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and regulatory documentation standards
• Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic data capture systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic records
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Professional, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle participant information appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Experience working with clinical trials, observational studies, registries, or sponsor-led research studies
• Experience with laboratory specimen processing, shipping, and chain-of-custody procedures
• Experience with participant recruitment databases, community outreach, or prescreening campaigns

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to:

• Stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods of time
• Sit at a desk and use a computer, phone, and office equipment for extended periods of time
• Stand for extended periods during participant visits, clinical procedures, specimen handling, and study preparation
• Use hands and fingers to handle clinical supplies, perform phlebotomy, process specimens, and operate equipment
• Lift, carry, push, or pull clinical supplies, study materials, files, and equipment weighing up to 25
• Assist with moving, organizing, and stocking study supplies and laboratory materials
• Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing
• Work in a clinical environment where exposure to blood, bodily fluids, needles, laboratory specimens, and infectious materials may occur
• Follow all required safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and comply with infection control standards

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Detroit, Michigan office. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Some schedule flexibility may be required depending on study visits, participant availability, sponsor requirements, or protocol needs.

Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
