Position Summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support a scientific research and development organization focused on translational science and precision medicine initiatives.

This role provides project management support across multiple cross-functional research programs, helping ensure successful execution of project plans, operational activities, timelines, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities with an understanding of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or scientific research environments.

The successful candidate will partner closely with scientists, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate project execution, track milestones, support financial activities, and drive operational efficiency within a fast-paced scientific environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support management of low-to-medium complexity projects across translational science and research initiatives.

  • Partner with scientific leads and subject matter experts to coordinate project planning, execution, and operational deliverables.

  • Manage project timelines, milestones, action items, and key deliverables to ensure successful execution.

  • Support Book of Work (BOW) planning, tracking, reporting, and oversight activities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional project meetings, including:

    • Preparing agendas

    • Documenting meeting minutes

    • Tracking follow-up actions and deliverables

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules aligned with research and development milestones.

  • Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams including:

    • Scientific teams

    • Clinical development

    • Regulatory

    • Legal

    • Finance

    • Procurement

    • External vendors

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, track issues, and support resolution efforts.

  • Assist with resource planning and operational coordination across functional teams.

  • Support project financial tracking, including:

    • Budgets

    • Accruals

    • Invoices

    • Financial reporting

  • Assist with vendor coordination, contract activities, and procurement processes.

  • Prepare project status updates and executive-level reporting materials.

  • Support implementation of project management best practices and process improvements.

  • Maintain strong communication, accountability, and collaboration across project teams.


Day-to-Day Activities

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with scientists and project leaders to coordinate research deliverables and timelines.

  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are completed.

  • Maintain project trackers, schedules, and operational documentation.

  • Coordinate communication across multiple scientific and business functions.

  • Support project reporting, financial tracking, and vendor management activities.

  • Help ensure projects remain organized, aligned with milestones, and positioned for successful execution.


Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Biological Sciences

    • Chemistry

    • Life Sciences

    • Healthcare-related discipline

    • Other relevant scientific field

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within:

    • Pharmaceutical

    • Biotechnology

    • Medical device

    • Healthcare

    • Scientific research environment

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional scientific or product development programs.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $41.00 per hour
