We're seeking a Sr R&D Project Manager based in Wilmington, DE and will be working within a global team of R&D scientists and Applications Engineers and in coordination with Business Unit leaders, Sales and Development partners. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing New Product Development Projects related to high performing specialized inks and pastes and delivering to internal and external customers high quality services within budget and defined plans. As the Sr R&D Project manager, you will be responsible for specific New Product Development Projects supported in our Micromax business..


What will you be doing?

  • Overall responsibility for the planning and management of internal and external projects related to the development of electronic inks and paste for Micromax business.

  • Responsibility for assembling project teams, defining schedules, tracking technical activities, and generating project progress reports.

  • Primarily work with R&D teams in the US, Asia and Europe, internal stakeholders, to ensure the relevant expertise is employed in defining, planning and executing projects.

  • Carry out schedule and resource planning for the projects, assess project risks and define countermeasures.

  • Work in a team of intracompany Project Managers to develop and maintain comprehensive portfolio management processes.

  • Work closely with Line of Business Owners, Product Managers, as well as Manufacturing and Quality to ensure continuous alignment and up-to-date information flow.

  • Support the design of internal processes and the optimization of project management methods.


Who are You?

  • B.Sc degree in Material Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering or other related technical discipline; MS strongly preferred.

  • Be capable of managing complex projects and be able to employ different management concepts such as Agile, Waterfall and others as needed. Relevant Project Management training (PMP/CSM/CPMP or similar) strongly preferred.

  • Experience in management of Technology-Oriented Projects and/or work experience in the field of Electronics.

  • Bottom-line oriented, an assertive and resilient team player able to operate within a high-performance cross-cultural team.

  • Confident and purposeful approach, paired with strong communication skills and social skills.

  • Customer-needs understanding, commitment to quality service and continuous improvement.

  • Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, MS Projects and similar.

  • Willingness to occasionally travel and build strong international relationships, less than 15% for domestic and overseas.
