Job Description
A Day in the Life:
The Asset Recovery Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient retrieval, transportation, and storage of repossessed and impounded vehicles. This role involves conducting thorough investigations to locate vehicles, coordination with Impound Yards, coordinate with repossession agents, local and national tow vendors, law enforcement agencies and ensuing compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
The position pays $21 and hour
What You'll Do:
  • Utilize fleet tracking platforms for optimized asset management, including telematics capabilities to pinpoint vehicle locations accurately.
  • Coordinate the retrieval of impounded vehicles from designated lots, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with impound lot operators and law enforcement agencies to secure timely release of impounded vehicles.
  • Prepare and process documentation for vehicle releases from impound or otherwise, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Confirm recovered vehicles are transported to appropriate locations and delivered timely.
  • Maintain accurate records of impounded and repossessed vehicles, tracking status and recovery actions.
  • Ensure all recovery and transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Serve as primary contact between the company, impound lots, law enforcement, and other stakeholders for assigned vehicles or areas.
  • Manage relationships for assigned vehicles or areas with existing repossession agents, towing companies, and transport providers to ensure secure and prompt vehicle recovery, as well as impound lots. Includes ongoing selection from available vendors to identify optimal pricing, coordinate vendor set-up changes, handle purchase orders, receipt invoices and complete monthly statements.
  • Resolve disputes related to vehicle recovery promptly.
  • Investigate discrepancies in records for accuracy.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related or analytical discipline, preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Automotive, Logistics, Finance, Analytics, or business-related field.
  • Prior experience in the Rent-A-Car industry, preferred.
  • Solid understanding of business and fleet concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and presentation/speaking acumen.
