9th Way Insignia is seeking an ETL Developer to support a government customer in Washington, DC. The ETL Developer will support enterprise data integration, reporting modernization, automation, and analytics initiatives across multiple business lines. This position aligns to the Engineer 1 professional level within 9th Way Insignia's career families and is expected to operate as a technically capable contributor supporting production delivery under general supervision and in coordination with more senior technical staff.

The ETL Developer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, refinement, and maintenance of ETL pipelines, data integration workflows, and transformation logic in support of enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making. This role contributes to agile sprint execution, technical documentation, and production support activities, and helps ensure technical work products align with customer requirements, established development standards, and enterprise data practices.

Responsibilities

• Be available on Government site in Washington, DC during normal hours of operation.
• Develop, test, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines, data integration workflows, and transformation logic supporting reporting, analytics, and operational processes.
• Implement source-to-target mappings and data transformation rules based on business requirements and technical guidance.
• Support automation of recurring data processing activities to improve consistency, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Assist in troubleshooting data integration issues, transformation defects, and performance problems in development and production environments.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint demonstrations, and incremental delivery of technical capabilities in an agile environment.
• Work with senior developers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to help identify anomalies and ensure reliable outputs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including ETL logic, mapping details, data flow documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Follow established engineering standards, change management practices, and delivery processes.
• Support multiple business lines and enterprise priorities as required.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or other technical discipline. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree consistent with contract requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ETL development, data integration, data warehousing, or related technical delivery roles. 8 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with the enterprise ETL tool Informatica.
• Experience developing or supporting ETL processes, transformation logic, and data movement across systems.
• Experience with SQL development and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with source-to-target mapping, data validation, and data quality practices.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot routine data integration and transformation issues with support from senior technical staff as needed.
• Experience supporting agile or iterative delivery efforts with backlog-driven work and sprint-based execution.
• Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation supporting operational continuity and knowledge transfer.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
