Job description

The Business Systems Analyst/Developer is responsible for supporting the ongoing administration, maintenance, enhancement, and integration of the organization's NetSuite ERP/CRM platform and related platforms. This role involves implementing new business processes, integrating AI technologies, developing data analytics, and introducing new features and functions that enhance the overall effectiveness of Tax Analysts. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless platform performance and support for system improvements. The Business Analyst/Developer will also stay informed on emerging technologies and assist in evaluating additional software and processes to meet evolving business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with department leadership to identify, coordinate, and implement business requirements using NetSuite, HubSpot, and other integrated systems/tools.
  2. Support the maintenance and improvement of existing processes and integrations between NetSuite, HubSpot, and other platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow.
  3. Implement and enhance integrations, customizations, and workflow automations that improve organizational efficiency and increase visibility into operational, sales, and financial data.
  4. Design, develop, and maintain integrations and interoperability solutions across NetSuite, HubSpot, AI platforms, and other enterprise applications, ensuring reliable data exchange and scalable business processes.
  5. Create dashboards, AI tools, and other data visibility capabilities to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  6. Provide internal user support, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution. Monitor and maintain system security in alignment with company policies.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input on projects. Support work queues for development tasks and communicate project status and updates to the stakeholders and peers through Agile processes.
  8. Maintain and audit data pipelines and processes to ensure data security, integrity, and consistency.
  9. Perform integrity testing and risk assessments of system upgrades before new version releases and perform associated risk mitigations.
  10. Create and maintain documentation of projects, processes, and system configurations, ensuring clarity for current and future reference.
  11. Effectively communicate project status, concerns, and risks to the department leadership, ensuring transparency and proper tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  12. Identify opportunities for collaboration to improve and optimize systems, data processes, application interoperability, and automation.
  13. Other duties may be assigned to meet the organization's objectives. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite and HubSpot, and their functionalities in business process automation, security, and system management.
  • Functional knowledge of application integration processes and technologies, including Restful API's, web services, JSON/XML, webhooks, MCP, and authentication.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and SuiteScript/SuiteQL.
  • Ability to independently research solutions, troubleshoot problems, and quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Usage of GenAI tools to enhance individual and team productivity.
  • Experience working across various aspects of ERP/CRM systems, including configuration, customization, integration, and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and effectively debug issues to ensure smooth system operations and performance.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Embraces change and demonstrates a positive attitude while ensuring successful task completion.
  • Experience in integrating data into Business Intelligence (BI) platforms like Domo, Google Looker, Microsoft BI, and developing reports and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
  • Understanding of change management principles, code repositories, versioning, and experience with staging/sandbox environments and go-live processes.
  • Experience using Agile approaches and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to track work, document solutions, and support iterative delivery within a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, collaborating with internal staff from across the organization to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience across a full application stack with an understanding of both front-end and back-end tasks.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, 2 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • 4+ years of experience developing or administering ERP/CRM systems, preferably with NetSuite and supporting tools.
  • 4+ years of experience working with data integration and business intelligence tools
  • Exposure to supporting business functions such as accounting, marketing, or B2B sales is a plus.
