Job description

You Are: Oracle HCM Reporting Developer/Cloud Developer

The Work

The Oracle HCM Reporting Developer will design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics within Oracle HCM Cloud using native reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher (BIP), and HCM Extracts. This role supports Core HR, Benefits, and/or Compensation modules by transforming business requirements into accurate, reliable reporting solutions. The developer will partner closely with HR stakeholders to understand reporting needs, build technical specifications, ensure data integrity, and provide ongoing support for reporting enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics using OTBI and BI Publisher
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Create and modify BI Publisher data models and build RTF or Excelbased report templates
  • Build and customize OTBI analyses and dashboards to deliver realtime HR insights
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support complex data extraction and reporting needs
  • Provide ongoing support for existing reports, including troubleshooting data issues and implementing enhancements
  • Assist in testing and validating new reports and system upgrades to ensure data integrity
  • Support reporting needs across Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, and related HCM modules

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-2 years of handson experience developing reports in Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Proficiency with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)
  • Solid SQL skills and experience querying Oracle databases
  • Familiarity with at least one Oracle HCM module (Core HR, Benefits, Compensation)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for gathering and clarifying requirements from nontechnical stakeholders

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience with BI Publisher, including data models and RTF/Excel template creation
  • Knowledge of underlying Oracle HCM data tables and structures
  • Experience using HCM Extracts for data integrations
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with Fast Formulas or Oracle Cloud Application Development
  • Skills in Oracle Reports, Technical Documentation, or Oracle HCM Cloud
