The Opportunity:
Are you a passionate, experienced SQL Reports Developer capable of both the extraction and presentation of data to meet customer needs? Do you have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail? Join our team as a Reports Developer!
We have been supporting our customer for over 20 years with the implementation of a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Financial and Acquisitions System, Momentum. We continue to develop and implement exciting and complex solutions to support the evolving needs of our customers.
As a Reports Developer, you will primarily be responsible for querying transactional data using Oracle SQL and stored procedures and then presenting it via custom BIRT and Business Objects reports. You will also support project initiatives through timely data calls, both routine and impromptu.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with functional teammates to gather and document reporting requirements from customer work sessions.
Design, develop, and test custom BIRT reports to meet customer objectives.
Design, develop, and test underlying Business Objects universes to support canned and ad hoc reporting.
Field data calls against the customer's financial management and contract writing data for operational research, customer metrics, and audit inquiries.
Ensure the accuracy of data presented in reports and data calls through unit-testing and reconciliation against other data sets.
Support user acceptance testing activities and resolution of production issues.
Work independently with minimal guidance from more senior software developers.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically relevant degree.
5 years of technical experience in system design, development, and production support of large applications/systems.
Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures.
Ability to obtain Security+ Certification.
Willingness to work onsite in a secure facility.
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
Desired:
Design and development experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool (BIRT).
Design and development experience creating dashboards through Business Objects, Pentaho, Cognos, etc.
Experience with Financial Management, Contract Writing, or other Business applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically with Excel functions and Word formatting.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to professionally interact both within our cross-functional team and directly with customers.
Working Technical knowledge of CGI Momentum Financials software.
Prior experience supporting large scale organizations with successful ERP implementation(s).
