Job description

We are partnered with a wonderful organization seeking an Epic HB Certified Application Engineer with hands-on technical expertise and a working knowledge of hospital Revenue Cycle operations. This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing data integrations, reporting solutions, and supporting applications that enable efficient patient billing and financial workflows.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical development skills and an understanding of healthcare financial systems, allowing them to effectively support operational and reporting needed.

This is a remote 2-year contract that is salaried only. Must work West Coast business hours.

What will I be doing?

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data integrations supporting Revenue Cycle operations
  • Support report development and data extraction to meet business and operational needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across ETL, reporting, and application layers
  • Monitor and maintain scheduled workflows and system processes
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and integrity across systems
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and process improvements

What requirements do I need?

Healthcare / Revenue Cycle:

  • Knowledge of hospital Revenue Cycle operations, including patient accounting, billing, and claims processes
  • Experience working with healthcare financial data and reporting

ETL Engineering:

  • Minimum 3 years of Extensive experience building, debugging, and optimizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
  • Strong ability to manage complex queries and data transformations and workflows

Web Development:

  • Minimum 3 years of Experience in .NET C# web application development
  • Exposure to application architecture principles and IIS deployment

Business Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing SSRS reports, including:
    • Matrix and structured report layouts
    • Experienced with both scheduled and triggered SSRS reports

Job Scheduling / Automation:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing and monitoring enterprise workflows, preferably using JAMS Scheduler

Epic Certification:

  • Active Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Clarity Report Writer certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and business teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
