What are some common challenges rental car agents face during peak travel seasons?

During peak travel seasons, rental car agents often encounter high customer volumes, which can lead to longer wait times and increased pressure to efficiently manage reservations and vehicle inventory. Agents must balance customer service with logistical tasks, such as ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for pickup. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are essential to handle last-minute changes, overbooking situations, and customer inquiries. Collaborating closely with maintenance staff and management helps agents address any unexpected issues and maintain a smooth workflow.
