Job description

Job: Home Renovation Workshop Instructor

Are you a licensed builder interested in teaching homeowners how they can make minor improvements in their home?

We are looking for a home renovation expert to instruct Saturday Home Renovation Workshops. Workshops will be held every Saturday from 9:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-4:30pm.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in home renovation contractor work and have proficiency in a multitude of areas. Workshop topics will include rough carpentry, finish carpentry, introduction to power tools, plumbing, electric, solar energy, drywall mudding and taping, cabinet installation, ceramic tile installation, and more. Instructors will be asked to help develop the plans for the workshops. Note: candidates do not need to be able to teach all of those topics but can teach any that they feel comfortable with.

Candidates must be comfortable teaching groups of 10-20 at a time. Instructors should expect students to have little to no prior knowledge in these areas.

Job Type: Part-time (Saturdays)

Pay: $29.00 to $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
