ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Isocyanurate Technology Leader will develop and improve the polyisocyanurate insulation board manufacturing process in the ISO facilities within Amrize.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Design, develop and implement new isocyanurate insulation foam machinery and processes to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve production issues related to the equipment and processes.
  • Analyze and improve existing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain technical documentation and records of equipment, processes and improvements.
  • Research and maintain a library of equipment technology and suppliers.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to production personnel.
  • Participate on teams focused on quality and process improvement for the polyiso insulation board product lines.
  • Visit equipment suppliers to support new equipment construction or to investigate new equipment technologies.
  • Support the value streams for each business functionally to ensure good collaboration, effective resolution of issues and facilitate business initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 12 years of directly related isocyanurate machinery experience.
  • Experience with capital project execution, installation & commissioning.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be willing to travel as needed up to 50% to plant and vendor sites. 
  • Visits may take place during plant shutdown periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced engineering degree.
  • Iso forming machinery design experience.
  • Isocyanurate insulation board machinery experience.
  • Experience with Management of Change processes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. 
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The working conditions normally include a working manufacturing office but may be dusty non- air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Working temperature can vary and range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant.
  • Occasional work is required in outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry hoses, kneel, bend, reach and stoop.
  • Periodic periods of prolonged sitting and data analysis work.
