What is a remote workforce?

A remote workforce refers to employees or teams who work outside of a traditional office environment, often from home or other locations, using digital communication tools to connect and collaborate. Remote work allows organizations to access a broader talent pool and can increase flexibility for workers. Companies with a remote workforce typically use video conferencing, project management software, and cloud-based systems to maintain productivity and communication. This approach has grown in popularity due to advances in technology and changing attitudes about work-life balance.

How do remote workforce team members typically stay connected and maintain effective collaboration with colleagues?

Remote workforce team members often use a mix of digital communication tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and project management platforms to stay connected. Regular check-ins, virtual team meetings, and collaborative online workspaces help foster teamwork and ensure everyone is aligned on priorities. Adapting to different time zones and proactively sharing updates are common practices to maintain transparency and momentum. Many organizations also encourage informal virtual gatherings to build camaraderie and strengthen team relationships.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a remote workforce role, and why are they important?

To thrive in a remote workforce role, you need strong self-management, communication, and time-management skills, often supported by relevant job experience or education. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, project management software, and cloud-based document sharing platforms is typically required. Outstanding remote workers excel in adaptability, proactive communication, and self-motivation. These competencies are crucial for maintaining productivity, effective teamwork, and consistent results without direct in-person supervision.

Job description

Contract Recruiter - Incipio Workforce Solutions | Remote or Hybrid (Louisville, KY) | Contract / Project-Based

About Incipio Workforce Solutions

At Incipio Workforce Solutions, we deliver Recruitment as a Service (RaaS)—a modern, strategic approach to hiring that supports businesses through full-cycle recruitment. As a trusted Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner, we collaborate with our clients to develop scalable hiring strategies, source top-tier talent, and ensure a smooth transition to onboarding.

We’re a fast-growing firm that values partnership, performance, and professionalism—and we’re looking for experienced Contract Recruiters to join our team.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for experienced contract recruiters who operate under their own LLCs and are energized by the opportunity to work across diverse client projects and industries. If you’re a strategic, results-oriented talent acquisition professional who excels at building relationships and delivering high-quality hires—this role is for you.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely, with the option to work hybrid if you're located in Louisville, KY. This is your chance to own your projects and collaborate directly with client stakeholders in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

How You’ll Make an Impact

Talent Sourcing & Engagement

  • Build targeted sourcing strategies for diverse roles across industries.
  • Use tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Smart Sourcing, referrals, and more.
  • Engage candidates through compelling outreach, screen for fit, and manage relationships.

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Write and post job ads across multiple channels.
  • Conduct phone screens, coordinate interviews, and provide candidate feedback.
  • Partner with hiring managers to align on job requirements and ideal profiles.
  • Facilitate salary discussions and offer negotiations.

Client Partnership & Strategy

  • Collaborate directly with client HR and leadership teams.
  • Provide market insights and real-time recruiting data.
  • Optimize and improve recruitment workflows.
  • Ensure seamless handoff to client onboarding teams post-hire.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (agency, RPO, or corporate).
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ATS platforms.
  • A strong track record in filling a variety of roles—or deep expertise in a specific industry.
  • Confidence working independently and juggling multiple client accounts.
  • Clear, proactive communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A business entity (LLC) and the mindset of a consultant/partner—not just a service provider.

Why Join Incipio?

  • Flexible Projects – Work on assignments that match your expertise and availability.
  • Diverse Clients – Gain exposure to different industries, business models, and hiring strategies.
  • Collaborative Team – Join a supportive network of experienced recruiters who share resources, celebrate wins, and solve challenges together.
