Business Development Associate (BDA) - United States (Colorado)
Engaging Team: Revenue
Contract Type: Full Time
Compensation: $55,000+ USD/year (Base & OTE, Depending on Experience)
Role Purpose
The Revenue team is the combined efforts from both Sales & Marketing teams, who work closely to drive opportunities for the business. The lead funnel and subsequent pipeline generated is as a direct result of this partnership and we ensure that you'll have all the tools you need to work closely as a unit. Business Development as a function sits neatly at the intersection between Sales & Marketing, with prospects passing through in order to be checked for market fit and needs discovered. It means BD is integral to the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Precursive is looking for a new Business Development member to join our commercial engine. This person will become an integral part of our team, and will play a significant role in continuing to grow our business.
The right BDA will enjoy outbound sales, and will not be afraid to pick up the phone to hit their numbers. In this role, you can expect to proactively contact key functional roles within accounts, in an assigned territory, for the purpose of presenting our value proposition, uncovering business needs for our platform, and qualifying them for a more in-depth discussion with your Account Executive partner(s).
We believe in keeping things simple for our team. So, in this role, you will benefit from uncapped commissions and uncomplicated incentives on a monthly and quarterly basis. This role provides a great opportunity for learning, and for the adoption of world-class sales methodologies.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
  • Contacting prospective clients through a variety of mediums - this could include reaching out on social media, phoning, emailing, or meeting in-person
  • Partnering with marketing to nurture healthy leads to a first sales interaction (FSI), researching potential new leads, and keeping on top of developments within a set of key accounts
  • Conducting discovery calls with prospects to inform sales staff of potential routes to sales opportunities
  • Working with the revenue team to help align prospect's needs with our offerings, and providing tools and resources to aid that goal
  • Managing multiple competing priorities, and working effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
  • Building & maintaining a network of contacts to aid in hitting your targets.
  • Administrative tasks - such as updating CRM (customer relationship management) systems, namely Salesforce, Hubspot, and Gong, and keeping internal stakeholders informed
