Mainframe Top Secret Security Administrator

We're on the hunt for a seasoned Mainframe Top Secret Security Administrator who's ready to be the go-to guru for all things data security and compliance in our client's mainframe world. Think of it as the ultimate backstage pass to z/OS and Top Secret Security (TSS). Hands-on, high-impact, and anything but boring.
Exciting things are happening here, and honestly, you never know what cool challenges you'll tackle until you ask. This role puts you front and center, helping maintain and transform a major mainframe environment, working with smart, talented teams who are as serious about legacy systems as they are about the future.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS) administration.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with z/OS administration.
  • 5+ years experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), Storage Management Subsystem (SMS).
  • 3+ years experience with TLS configuration, including certificates, SSL, RSA keys, SFTP, and FTPS.
  • Strong knowledge of security compliance, audit practices, and risk mitigation.
  • 2+ years experience with REXX scripting.
  • 3+ years experience with performance monitoring and analysis.
  • 3+ years experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration.

Working knowledge of:
  • z/OS Operations and Networking (VTAM, TCP/IP)
  • Automated job scheduling (JOBTRAC)
  • Terminal emulator software (BlueZone)
  • VTAM Session Manager (VTAM/SWITCH)
  • SMP/E, RMF, SMF, WLM, JCL, GRS, VSAM, and TSO

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary expert in Mainframe Top Secret Security Administration to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Manage advanced systems administration tasks, including mainframe configuration, break/fix support, and user account management.
  • Support z/OS operating systems and system components, including planning, implementing, and testing releases, upgrades, and changes.
  • Oversee certificate renewals and access control processes within the mainframe environment.
  • Perform routine system administration functions such as security support, performance monitoring, and system maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Network Administration, Customer Support, and Application Development teams to support daily mainframe operations.
  • Provide technical support for Mainframe Production Control, Job Scheduling, and ISV products like BlueZone.
  • Utilize expertise in Informatica Power Exchange Administration for Change Data Capture (CDC) processing.
  • Support both legacy mainframe systems and the Mainframe Transformation Team.
