What is a remote Workday Security Administrator?

A Remote Workday Security Administrator is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing the security settings and user access within the Workday human capital management (HCM) system, while working remotely. Their role includes configuring security groups, permissions, and roles to ensure that sensitive employee information is protected and only accessible by authorized personnel. They also monitor security policies, audit user activity, and help troubleshoot access issues to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong knowledge of Workday's security framework and best practices in data privacy and IT security.

How does a remote Workday Security Administrator typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage user access and data security?

As a Remote Workday Security Administrator, you will regularly work with HR, IT, and compliance teams to ensure that user access aligns with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Collaboration often involves participating in virtual meetings to understand evolving business needs, documenting access requests, and coordinating security audits. Effective communication is key, as you'll need to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and respond quickly to security concerns or incidents. This cross-functional teamwork helps maintain a secure and compliant Workday environment.
