What is remote work?

Remote work refers to a work arrangement where employees perform their job duties outside of a traditional office, typically from home or another location of their choice. This setup relies heavily on technology, such as computers, internet, and collaboration tools, to communicate and complete tasks. Remote work can offer greater flexibility, reduce commuting time, and allow for a better work-life balance. Many companies support remote work either full-time or as part of a hybrid model, depending on the nature of the job and organizational needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a remote worker, you need strong self-management, time management, and communication skills, often supported by relevant experience in your field. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and project management systems such as Trello or Asana is typically required. Proactive problem-solving, adaptability, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for remote work settings. These abilities are crucial to maintain productivity, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively while working independently from various locations.

How do remote workers typically stay connected and collaborate effectively with their teams?

Remote workers often rely on a combination of digital communication tools, such as video conferencing platforms, instant messaging apps, and project management software, to maintain strong connections with their teams. Regular check-ins, virtual meetings, and clear documentation help ensure alignment and accountability. Building rapport can require extra effort, so many teams schedule informal virtual gatherings or 'coffee chats' to foster camaraderie. Successful remote collaboration depends on proactive communication, transparency, and adaptability to different time zones and work styles.

Job description

Build what matters as RevStarโ€™s Technical Recruiter. As our Technical Recruiter, you will be the talent engine behind an AI-first, full-service innovation shop and AWS Advanced Tier Partner, helping us deliver end-to-end cloud-native, data, and AI solutions that create real business impact. Youโ€™ll partner closely with the Director of HR and leadership team to scale our headcount, refine our sourcing motion, and strengthen our culture as we grow.

As RevStarโ€™s Technical Recruiter, you will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across all practices, ensuring that talent acquisition, technical bar-setting, and culture are tightly aligned. You will translate well-defined hiring needs into scalable pipelines, lead full-cycle recruitment across our strategic hubs in Florida, Texas, and Arizona, and maintain the operational discipline needed to support our rapid growth. This role is ideal for a high-output builder who thrives in a focused, fast-paced environment and is energized by scaling teams and delivering measurable impact.

Above all, the ideal candidate embodies RevStarโ€™s core values:

  • Self-Mastery: We hold a high bar for how we think, communicate, and improve.
  • Ownership: We own outcomes, not just effort.
  • Shared Destiny: We rise or fall together
Role and Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment & Logistics

  • End-to-End Management: Own the full recruitment lifecycle, including managing job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling for all open roles.
  • Active Outbound Sourcing: Execute aggressive outbound strategies on LinkedIn, GitHub, and other technical platforms to identify passive talent.
  • Recruitment at Scale: Our current hiring pace is 3 hires per week, and with imminent market expansion, we anticipate doubling this velocity. Scale recruitment operations to meet this demand while maintaining an uncompromising bar for talent and value alignment.

Pipeline & Brand Development

  • Strategic Pipeline Building: Build and maintain long-term candidate pipelines for high-priority technical and sales positions (Data & AI Engineers, Full Stack Developers, Product Managers, Solutions Architects, and Account Executives).
  • Employer Branding: Act as the face of RevStar by attending industry events, tech meetups, and career fairs to attract top-tier talent to the agency.
  • Candidate Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a seamless, high-quality interview process that reflects the RevStar brand at every touchpoint.

Multi-Practice Execution

  • Data & AI Practice: Source specialized talent familiar with the AWS landscape (Bedrock, SageMaker, etc) and candidates experienced in AWS co-sell and channel partnership environments.
  • Product Development Practice: Hire Full-Stack Mobile/Web Developers (Javascript/TypeScript) and Product Managers with experience in product growth, upsells, and renewals.
  • Onshore Hub Strategy: Focus recruitment efforts primarily on US-based talent in our strategic hubs: Florida, Texas, and Arizona.

Strategic Partnering

  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Director of HR, and Practice Leads to define requirements, build Ideal Candidate Profiles (ICPs), and fill critical roles by set deadlines.
  • Utilize data and conversion metrics to optimize the hiring funnel, reducing time-to-hire while increasing quality-of-hire.
  • Leverage a tech stack of Workable (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, and Dripify, while evaluating new "out-of-the-box" tools to increase velocity within budget.

Requirements

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Full-Cycle Recruitment, with a heavy emphasis on Technical and Product roles within a consulting or professional services environment.
  • High-Velocity Track Record: Proven ability to manage a high volume of open reqs and hit a target of 5+ hires per week.
  • Technical Versatility: Experience hiring across diverse stacks, specifically AWS-native Data & AI roles AND Javascript-based Full-Stack Web/Mobile roles.
  • Sourcing & Tech Mastery: Expert-level sourcing (LinkedIn, GitHub, Apollo) and experience managing an ATS (Workable) to maintain a data-driven pipeline.
  • Logistics & Documentation: Experience managing the administrative side of hiring, from interview scorecards to offer letters.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the Canadian, South American and EMEA (Offshore) tech talent market.
  • Interest in AI-enabled recruitment workflows and lean execution strategies.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off โ€“ Take the time you need to recharge and stay productive.
  • Remote-First Working Environment โ€“ Collaborate from anywhere while staying connected with our global team.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage โ€“ Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan โ€“ Plan for your future with access to a company-sponsored 401(k) program.
  • Annual Learning & Development Stipend โ€“ Invest in your skills with conferences, certifications, or courses.
  • Peer Mentorship & Coaching โ€“ Learn from experienced engineers, product managers, and architects to accelerate your growth.
  • Professional Growth Opportunities โ€“ Exposure to cutting-edge AWS GenAI, data, and cloud technologies across diverse industries.
  • Company Outings & Volunteer Opportunities โ€“ Build relationships and give back to the community.
  • Collaborative, Innovative Culture โ€“ Work alongside top talent in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values curiosity and initiative.
