About Guardian Fire Services

Guardian Fire Services is a rapidly growing company dedicated to safeguarding lives and property. As we continue to expand, we're committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and innovative workplace where talent thrives.

Location: Field-based East Coast role. Nashville, TN preferred; candidates located near a major East Coast market or Guardian location will also be considered.
Travel: Approximately 4060% regional travel expected.

About the Role

Guardian Fire Services is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager East Coast with extensive knowledge of fire sprinkler and fire alarm service, inspections, and repair sales.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing and coaching sales representatives, driving regional sales performance, and supporting the execution of national account strategies across multiple markets. The Regional Sales Manager is expected to regularly travel throughout the East Coast, work alongside sales representatives in the field, visit Guardian business units, participate in customer meetings, and support regional and national account execution.

The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the VP of Sales, West Coast Regional Sales Manager, local business unit leadership, operations, and estimating teams to ensure consistent sales strategy, customer experience, pricing discipline, and execution across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong fire protection industry knowledge with the ability to coach developing sales professionals, hold teams accountable to performance expectations, and confidently support complex regional and national customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales representatives across the East Coast region through recurring training, one-on-one coaching, field ride-along, customer meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Deliver recurring training on fire sprinkler and fire alarm inspections, service, repairs, NFPA requirements, sales techniques, pricing strategy, and industry best practices.
  • Own regional sales performance, including pipeline development, forecasting, conversion rates, sales activity, revenue growth, and individual rep performance.
  • Establish clear expectations and action plans for representatives who are not meeting sales or activity goals.
  • Drive consistent CRM utilization and maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, customer, and sales activity data.
  • Partner with local business unit leadership, operations, estimating, and service teams to ensure sales commitments can be successfully executed.
  • Lead the execution of national account strategies within the East Coast region, coordinating closely with the VP of Sales and West Coast Regional Sales Manager.
  • Support the rollout and ongoing management of multi-location and national customers, ensuring consistency in pricing, communication, service expectations, and customer experience across markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractor and vendor partners to support national service delivery and geographic coverage.
  • Negotiate pricing, scopes, and service agreements while maintaining appropriate margins and service standards.
  • Participate in strategic customer meetings, presentations, contract negotiations, and escalations for key regional and national accounts.
  • Identify new market opportunities, target accounts, and industries to drive organic growth throughout the region.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ramping new sales representatives as the organization continues to grow.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for critical customer escalations and complex sales opportunities within the East Coast region.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in fire sprinkler and fire alarm service, inspection, and repair sales.
  • 5+ years of sales leadership or management experience, with direct experience in the fire protection industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of fire protection inspection and service environments; familiarity with NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 required.
  • National account experience is highly preferred, particularly experience managing multi-location customers, complex enterprise relationships, and service delivery across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold sales teams accountable for measurable performance.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, sales KPIs, pricing strategy, and margin management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, estimating, service, and executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to build executive-level customer relationships and navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, hands-on environment where priorities and market needs may evolve quickly.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the East Coast region.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means building a high-performing, accountable sales organization across the East Coast while creating consistency in how Guardian approaches regional and national customers.

  • Develop and elevate the sales team: Build the technical knowledge, sales skills, confidence, and accountability of each representative through consistent coaching, training, field support, and performance management.
  • Drive measurable regional growth: Maintain a healthy pipeline, improve conversion, achieve regional sales targets, and identify new opportunities for sustainable organic growth.
  • Be a visible, hands-on leader: Spend meaningful time in the field coaching representatives, supporting customer meetings, visiting Guardian business units, and developing strong relationships with local leadership and operations teams.
  • Create consistency and accountability: Establish strong sales disciplines around CRM utilization, forecasting, pipeline management, activity expectations, pricing, and follow-through.
  • Strengthen national account execution: Successfully support and expand multi-location and national accounts by coordinating across Guardian business units, maintaining consistent service expectations, and building strong customer relationships.
