Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Provide individual therapy sessions to clients with a focus on their specific needs and therapeutic goals.
• Independently manage your caseload, scheduling sessions that align with your availability while ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Conduct thorough assessments during initial sessions to establish a baseline and determine suitable therapeutic approaches.
• Utilize our online platform to document client interactions and progress notes securely, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in ongoing communication with clients via secure messaging, providing additional resources or check-ins between appointments.
• Participate in regular case consultations with peer counselors to enhance treatment plans and share best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele that has been pre-screened to ensure they are stable and have low acuity needs. This allows you to focus on delivering targeted interventions without the challenges posed by crisis situations. The clients you will serve are motivated individuals seeking professional guidance to improve their mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT, with no disciplinary actions on your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, enabling you to connect effectively with clients.
• Strong case management skills, fostering independent scheduling and client prioritization.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in telehealth, outpatient settings, or those familiar with online therapy platforms will be prioritized. Experience working with diverse populations and implementing evidence-based practices is also beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Advantage Point Wellness Center offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Full-time counselors can expect to earn between $115,000 to $130,000 annually, while part-time therapists have the potential to make up to $70,000 a year. Additional benefits include:
