Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker will include:

• Providing direct clinical services to clients facing major mental health issues and severe emotional disorders, both in-office and through community outreach.
• Engaging collaboratively with team members to achieve collective goals, enhancing the overall quality of care provided.
• Demonstrating respect and understanding in interactions with clients from diverse backgrounds, embracing their unique traditions, values, and interpersonal styles.
• Functioning within the operational frameworks of the clinic, ensuring compliance with organizational practices, including financial and regulatory guidelines.
• Adhering to professional ethical standards and conducting yourself in accordance with the code of conduct.
• Continually developing skills and aiming for performance excellence while promoting client choice and empowerment in treatment.
• Identifying and addressing safety concerns promptly while facilitating a secure environment for clients and colleagues.
• Performing initial evaluations and screenings to assess client needs, with the ability to refer for more intensive evaluations when necessary.
• Creating and managing integrated care plans that connect clients with essential services and support networks.
• Offering a range of prevention, treatment, and recovery services tailored to individual client needs.
• Providing crisis intervention services when required, ensuring timely and effective responses to mental health emergencies.
• Managing a client caseload that may involve individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Ensuring treatment is focused on the clients' presenting problems and their goals for service.
• Monitoring treatment progress and facilitating a structured approach to admission, continued care, and discharge processes.
• Completing documentation, reports, and data submissions promptly to maintain accurate records.
• Being available for on-call coverage during and after program hours as needed to support clients effectively.
• Participating in agency committees aimed at enhancing service delivery and engaging in quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving diverse populations dealing with various mental health challenges. Our clients often come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, requiring a compassionate approach to care that is culturally sensitive and responsive. By understanding the specific needs of our client base, you will contribute to meaningful improvements in their mental health and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

• An LCSW license valid in the state of California.
• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a clinician in a mental health setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental health disorders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities to manage a diverse caseload and ensure effective service delivery.
• Competence in addressing age-related issues and developmental needs applicable to the populations served.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish will be given preference, reflecting our commitment to serving the needs of our diverse client community effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
