This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Corporate Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:

Starting Pay: $114,074ย  Salary Range: $87,767 - $127,228

Purpose of Position:

This position will design and build the connections that keep our core banking platform, digital channels, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and third-party systems working together reliably by implementing technical solutions conforming to the standards and technical direction defined by ESLโ€™s approach to software development and system implementations. This is primarily an integration-focused role as the majority of work will be designing and developing integrations. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Integration Architect, contribute to design standards and patterns, and work in an environment that is actively adopting AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate how we build. Will also act as a leader within the team to assist and mentor other developers.

Accountabilities:

Implement technical solutions to address business needs

  • The ability to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Provide technical leadership to the IT organization, acting as more than a developer by serving as a systems consultant across integration and business domains
  • Active participate in requirements determination and consulting with the business
  • Lead design efforts and code reviews to ensure quality software development standards
  • Support functional parts of the business with their IT needs and goals
  • Assist in the tooling and processes of modern software development services (Azure DevOps, security, testing, etc.)
  • Develops applications using Boomi, ย Visual Studio and other Development tools.ย 
  • Understand SQL and is able to write complex queries utilized in application developmentย ย 
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new programming languages and technologies to meet evolving business needs;
  • Demonstrated commitment to remain current in technology: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Assist in the development of tooling and processes (DEVOPSSEC, Agile, testing) for modern software development practices

Ensures that a strong partnership exists with internal business units:ย 

  • Assists business owners with the understanding and implementation of the ESL Desired Information Architecture.ย 
  • Provides a high degree of support for business unit clients
  • Consults with organizational management to clarify technical issues and identify opportunities for future initiatives
  • Works closely with support team members to ensure that deliverables meet IT standards and client quality and timeliness expectations.ย 

Ensures that the computing environment is stable and available to support business units and customers at all times:ย 

  • Implements reliable integration solutions that meet batch and real time performance expectations and support pre-established uptime goals
  • Schedules changes in accordance with Change Management policies and procedures
  • Proactively engages in the resolution of production issues both within and outside immediate areas of expertise
  • Provides 24X7 production support as needed

Ensures that a strong partnership exists with external suppliers:ย 

  • Responsible for clearly defining and communicating expectations with vendors
  • Collaborates with suppliers to develop effective solutions that meet ESL business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or 4 years equivalent directly related programming experienceย 
  • Minimum of 3 year of Programming experience in a corporate/business environment designing and developing APIs and other integrations (using Boomi or a comparable iPaaS platform (MuleSoft, Informatica, Azure Integration Services, etc.). This can include college related internships and coops.ย 
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries for use within integration processes and data mappingย 
  • Experience working with enterprise systems and third-party vendor APIs
  • Ability to read and contribute to C#/ASP.NET codebases for legacy application support
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration with concentration in Information systems,ย Computer Science, or Mathematics/ Statistics
  • IT experience in financial services or another regulated industry
  • Boomi Developer certification
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud servicesย 
  • Experience with Fiserv DNA or other core banking platforms
