In this remote work setting, you will enjoy the flexibility of conducting sessions from your home while maintaining close collaboration with fellow clinicians and staff. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering a balanced work routine.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying specific needs and developing tailored care plans.
• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions, facilitating discussions around emotional challenges related to aging, life transitions, and personal loss.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create comprehensive care plans, ensuring the integration of mental health strategies into overall health management.
• Educate caregivers and family members on best practices to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life of elderly individuals.
• Provide grief and loss counseling, offering support to residents and families facing end-of-life issues.
• Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions aimed at promoting mental acuity and engagement among elderly clients.

This position focuses predominantly on the elderly, including those experiencing mental health challenges related to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. Your role will be instrumental in addressing their unique needs and improving their overall quality of life through specialized, culturally sensitive counseling practices.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.
• A minimum of 4 years of pertinent, recent professional experience delivering geriatric mental health services.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments and crafting personalized treatment plans to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, essential for establishing rapport and trust with elderly clients.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in geriatric mental health counseling.
