We are seeking a Senior Warehouse Optimization Engineer to drive site-level and project-based optimization initiatives across our distribution network. This role is highly hands-on and focused on executing data-driven solutions that improve warehouse efficiency, layout, slotting, and overall operational performance.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical and analytical expertise, combined with practical experience working directly in warehouse environments to implement measurable improvements.
HYBRID 3 Days in office work schedule. Locations: NC, GA, TN, TX, IL, OR, MN, AZ, CO, NV, UT
What You'll Do:
  • Own and execute site-level or project-based warehouse optimization initiatives, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and performance
  • Design and implement slotting strategies, warehouse layouts, and pick path optimizations within distribution centers
  • Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support operational decision-making (e.g., SQL, Power BI)
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities and solve structured problems using data-driven approaches
  • Develop and apply optimization models to improve warehouse processes such as travel time, dwell time, and throughput
  • Utilize and configure warehouse optimization tools and slotting software to drive improvements
  • Partner closely with operations teams and site leaders to implement solutions and drive adoption
  • Support automation and system implementation efforts within warehouse environments
  • Apply Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies to targeted initiatives
  • Ensure successful execution and delivery of optimization projects from analysis through implementation

What you Bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, or distribution center analytics, including leadership of cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Advanced data analytics, SQL, and BI tools
    • Warehouse optimization and slotting tools
    • WMS, ERP systems, and warehouse automation technologies
  • Proven experience leading multi-site or enterprise-level optimization initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to design complex models and scalable frameworks for warehouse optimization
  • Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, or large-scale continuous improvement transformations
  • Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive leadership
  • Ability to translate business strategy into technical solutions and execution roadmaps
