Your role
As a Warehouse Specialist, you will oversee the comprehensive management of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer satisfaction. You will handle inbound shipments with precision, performing thorough physical inspections and ensuring accurate electronic recording of goods received. You will report to the Production Supervisor.
This position operates during the 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all shipping activities, including packaging of orders, preparation of accurate shipping documentation and labels, coordination of pick-ups and deliveries, and tracking of shipments to guarantee timely and reliable dispatch.
  • Manage receiving operations by accepting deliveries, verify correctness and condition of goods, enter data into the computerized tracking system, and ensure appropriate distribution to inventory or end-users.
  • Oversee the movement and organization of inventory throughout the warehouse, optimizing storage efficiency and accessibility.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits in alignment with scheduled programs to uphold a minimum of 99% accuracy in inventory records, thereby minimizing discrepancies and supporting operational integrity.
  • Maintain a proactive reorder point requisition system for critical consumables, ensuring uninterrupted supply for warehouse operations.
  • Ensure proper stock storage, labeling, and organization, adhering to safety standards and facilitating easy identification and retrieval.
  • Manage and uphold Hilo Driver Certification and test processes to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, increasing efficiency, and streamlining procedures within the warehouse operations.
  • Perform timely and effective preventive maintenance on warehouse tools and equipment, maintaining operational readiness and safety standards.
  • Deliver prompt, and professional support to internal and external customers to facilitate smooth operations and uphold the company's commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, promote workplace safety and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Handle material management responsibilities across both buildings, ensuring consistency and accuracy in stock movements.
  • All other duties as assigned to support warehouse functionality.
To succeed, you will need
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of two years of relevant hands-on experience in warehouse operations or a similar logistics role.
  • Possession of a current DOT Material Hazmat Shipping certification, demonstrating compliance with regulatory shipping standards.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with robust hands-on experience in equipment handling and maintenance.
  • Strong personal and professional ethics, with a commitment to integrity and accountability.
  • Completion of spill response training, ensuring preparedness for environmental safety incidents.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated physical capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Certified and proficient in forklift operation, ensuring efficient and safe material handling.
