This position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from your home while continuing to provide critical mental health services. As a Mental Health Counselor at Firefly, you will:

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to meet the diverse needs of each client.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver cohesive and comprehensive care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to share insights and enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and resources within the community to foster understanding and empowerment.
• Stay informed on the latest mental health research and innovative practices to integrate into your therapeutic approach and improve client outcomes.

Your role will focus on a diverse client population, ranging from young adults to seniors, facing various mental health challenges. This position requires sensitivity and understanding of the unique circumstances that affect each individual, promoting a therapeutic environment that encourages healing and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist.
• Demonstrated knowledge of solution-focused therapeutic strategies to provide tailored care to clients based on their specific needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong therapeutic relationships.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to assess complex cases and develop effective treatment strategies.
• A collaborative mindset that values teamwork and mutual support among colleagues.

While not mandatory, experience in remote therapy and familiarity with telehealth technology will be advantageous. Additionally, prior work within a community health setting or with diverse populations can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
