Job Description Summary

Position Overview:
The Assistant Volleyball Coach and Coordinator of Operations plays a pivotal role in the effective functioning and management of the college volleyball program. This position combines elements of assistant coaching, director of operations, and special assistance to the head coach to ensure the program's success on and off the court.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all aspects of team travel, including transportation, lodging, and scheduling.
Assist with volleyball camps and clinics, ensuring smooth operation and participant satisfaction.
Serve as the primary financial services support for the volleyball program, managing budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting.
Supervise student managers and volunteer staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed.
Assist coaching staff and sport administrator with special projects closely related to the volleyball program.
Perform department projects, attend external events, and undertake other duties as assigned.

Key Duties:

Assist with recruiting efforts, including identifying prospects, conducting promotional activities, and making recruitment trips.
Manage the team budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with university and NCAA regulations.
Conduct promotional activities for fundraising, recruitment, public relations, and marketing.
Administer policies and procedures regarding academic expectations for team members.
Coordinate videotape editing and review of practices and games.
Manage equipment inventory and related duties.
Assist in the management of the team's social media accounts.
Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
Perform any other related duties as assigned to promote the effective and efficient operation of the volleyball program.
This position is essential for maintaining the volleyball program at a nationally competitive level and requires a strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. The Assistant Volleyball Coach and Operations Director serves as a crucial link between the coaching staff, student-athletes, and program administration, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the program.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:
One year coaching volleyball and/or sport operations administrative experience
Experience with DataVolley and/or VolleyStation
